1. Open After Effects
2. Import the following file found attached below. You will need a second video to put on the billboard as well.
a. Las_Vegas_1.mp4 (767.31 KB)
3. Create a new composition based on the Las Vegas video by dragging it to the little filmstrip icon directly below.
4. Drag your second video of choosing to the timeline and place it above your video of the Las Vegas billboard.
5. Select the Las Vegas Layer in your timeline.
6. Click on Window>Workspace>Motion Tracking
7. You should see a panel to the right that has now switched to ‘tracker’. Click on the button that says track motion.
8. For track type change it to perspective corner pin by clicking the drop down arrow.
9. 4 trackers that are connected together in the shape of a big square should have appeared on the screen. Hover or the first tracker point until you see an icon that has 4 points like a compass.
10. Click and drag the first tracker over to the upper left corner of the billboard with the middle x placed on the outside corner.
11. Do step 10 and 11 for tracker 3 except place at the lower left corner of the billboard.
12. Do step 10 and 11 for tracker 2 except place at the upper right corner of billboard.
13. Do step 10 and 11 for tracker 4 but place at the lower right corner of billboard.
14. Now navigate to the tracker panel and click on the button that says edit target. Make sure the piano layer is selected. If not do so now.
15. Make sure your cti is at zero and next to where it says analyze in the tracker panel click the play button.
16. One it is finished playing through click the apply button.
17. Your movie of choice should now be placed on your billboard and if you scroll through the timeline it stays with the billboard even though there is movement in the vegas video. Ram preview to see the full effect and or render the movie.
